Why fleets and drivers choose T&T

Drivetrain work happens in-house

Clutch, transmission, differential — we don't sub it out. That means consistent work, consistent records, and a single throat to choke if something needs to be revisited.

Estimate covers the parts you didn't know would need replacing

When the transmission comes out, the pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and rear main seal often need replacement. We quote that in up-front so you're not getting a follow-up bill.

Bench work on diffs, not just R&I

We rebuild differentials in-house when it's the right call — saves on the cost of a remanufactured unit when the gears and case are still good.

Frequently asked

How do I know my clutch is going?
Slipping under load (especially on grades), shudder on engagement, longer free-play before bite, or a high engagement point are the classic signs. If a driver is describing any of these, it's time to look.
Can you rebuild a differential, or just replace it?
Both. Rebuilding makes sense when the gears and case are sound and only bearings, seals, or thrust washers are worn. We'll inspect and tell you which is the better economic call.
What's the difference between an AMT clutch job and a manual?
AMTs run the clutch through actuators controlled by the transmission ECM. The clutch hardware is similar to manual, but calibration and clutch wear-monitoring need OEM tools. Plan on slightly longer turnaround for AMT clutch jobs.
Will you swap an Eaton clutch on a non-Eaton transmission?
We work on most major transmission platforms. If you have a less common gearbox, call us with the year, model, and engine and we'll confirm before you bring it in.
How long does a clutch job take?
Manual transmission clutch: typically a long day to a day-and-a-half. AMT: 1–2 days including calibration. We'll give you a real timeline once we have the unit.
